Job Description

Senior Accountant

 

Job Duties:  

 

 • Tax return prep

• Document financial transactions – Document tax accounting entries

• Reconcile tax basis to financial accounting records and KNOW the difference.

• Prepare financial statements, audits, and reviews. Keep current with all changes in reporting requirements.

• Evaluate account controls- prepare and recommend improvements.

• Answer technical tax and accounting questions – this person does not manage accounting staff.

• Evaluate client financial statements and recommend tax-saving options.

• Ability to interview clients and prepare tax returns while you wait if client wants to do so, Positive client feedback mandatory.

• Strive for error-free accounting and tax reports.

• Review and recommend notifications to accounting systems and procedures.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

   

  • CPA or enrolled agent mandatory

  • Minimum education level- college degree in accounting -not finance.

  • Accounting degree ok as secondary or also be accounting degree is mandatory.
