Job Description

Under general supervision this individual will, provide analysis, research and technical expertise in specific area of personnel within an organization. The individual will assist with projects that have a significant impact to the agency. The ability to build relationships at all levels of the
organization will be required to help facilitate the accomplishment of goals.


Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate Talent Experience initiatives. Examples of initiatives could include succession planning, performance management, and a mentoring program.
Provide tools, training and coaching to leaders to ensure healthy communication and
support conflict resolution.
Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of Talent Experience Programs and
provide recommendations to make future improvements.
Communicate professional pathways to Employees through focused conversations and
recommend internal training opportunities
Conduct investigations, document findings, and make recommendations for resolution
for employee disciplinary issues.
Recommend, develop, and update organization policies.
Administer support programs such as ADA or unemployment claims administration.
Utilize technology solutions to improve the Talent Experience at GDOL.
Continuously assess and develop effective ways to measure Talent Experience at GDOL.
Other duties as assigned.



Required Skills/ Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented, paying close attention to all the small particulars when working on a
task or project.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to compile, research and analyze information.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet scheduled deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor' s degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience in human resources OR One year of experience required at the lower level
HR Spec 1 (HRP020) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job
at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged standing.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Required Documentation and screenings (BG beyond 7 years, DT, etc.; tax clearance letter )
