BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Snellville, GA 30039

Posted: 02/19/2026 Industry: Skilled Trades Job Number: 6224

Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Building Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping facilities running at their best. This isn't just a fix-it role — it's a Builder role. If you show up ready to work, take ownership of your tasks, and treat every job site like it matters, you'll fit right in. Pay range $19-22 based on depth of experience, experience areas and interview

You don't need to be an expert in every trade. What we need is someone with real-world experience, a willingness to learn, and the integrity to do the job right even when no one is watching.

Skills & Experience

We value breadth and a get-it-done attitude over a perfect resume. Here's what we're looking for — you don't need all of these, but the more you bring, the better:
Required
  • 1–2 years of hands-on handyman or general maintenance experience
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working independently
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-site consistently
  • Clear communication skills — written and verbal
Preferred (bring what you have)
  • Electrical: basic wiring, outlet/switch replacement, troubleshooting circuits, lighting
  • Plumbing: fixture repair, drain clearing, basic pipe work, leak identification
  • HVAC: filter changes, unit inspections, minor repairs, working knowledge of systems
  • Drywall: patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching
  • Experience working in commercial, multi-family, or institutional settings

What We Stand For
We don't just hire for skills — we hire for character. Every person on our team is expected to carry these values onto every job site, every day:
Collaboration — We work as a team. You'll take direction, share knowledge, and respect the role of every person on the job — regardless of trade or title.
Accountability — Own your work. If something goes wrong, we don't point fingers — we figure out what happened and fix it. Mistakes are allowed; hiding them is not.
Dedication — Show up ready. Give your best on every task, not just the visible ones. The details matter, even when the day is long.
Integrity — Do the right thing when no one's watching. Be honest about what you know, what you don't know, and what you see on the job.
Purpose — You're not just fixing things — you're making spaces safer and better for the people who use them. That work matters, and we take it seriously.

Screening Process for These Positions:
We keep our process straightforward and respectful of your time. Here's what to expect from start to finish:
  1. Brief Phone Prescreen — A brief call to learn about your background, confirm availability, and answer any initial questions you may have.
  2. Soft Skills Assessment — A scenario-based quiz completed on your own time that covers communication, accountability, collaboration, and integrity on the job.
  3. Video Interview — A focused Teams interview centered on your practical experience and tool knowledge. This is your opportunity to walk us through the work you've actually done.
Candidates who complete all three steps successfully will have their resumes submitted directly to our client for interview consideration.

If selected by the client, we will onboard you and conduct a background screen in preparation for your start date.
